Prometheus Siddiqui

Prometheus Siddiqui is a development professional who is currently engaged with Grameen Australia as Projects Director. As a member of the senior executive and management team of the Grameen Australia group Prometheus heads stakeholder engagement and promotes the organization into the corporate and donor market and the expanding global social business network. He also formulates strategies and action plan for the group. Prometheus monitors and advises Grameen Australia’s social businesses and microfinance projects in Asia (Philippines, Cambodia and Bangladesh). He also supports the CEO and board in leading various Australian initiatives.

Prometheus commenced his career at a Sri Lankan multinational investment bank (NDB Capital Limited) as management associate and worked as a volunteer consultant in the Inclusive Finance team of UN Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) at the regional headquarters of United Nations in Bangkok, Thailand. He has been working with the Grameen family of companies chaired by Nobel Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus since 2012. Prometheus is also sessional academic (lecturer) at his alma mater Victoria University.
